The Port Augusta Secondary School’s learning community comprises student, parents, staff and partners. Our goal is to work together to use, develop and enhance the many strengths that we all bring to PASS to improve the educational outcomes for all our students.
This section of our website outlines information for our families and how we want to work together. The parent handbook provides general information on a range of school policies and procedures.
Student services offers a range of services for parents and students including uniforms, student absences, fees and payments. Fees and payments can also be made online. Student Enrolment appointments are managed through the Reception staff.
The school newsletter is published twice a term in The Transcontinental and is also published on the website.
The canteen is open every day from 8:00am to the end of afternoon recess. A wide range of nutritious food is available for students to purchase at lunch and/or recess. Students also have the opportunity to pre-order food in the morning (prior to care-group).
Parents are encouraged to become involved as much as possible in the decision-making of the school and to contribute wherever possible to the improvement of school life. Our school encourages parents to drop in, or phone the Care Group teacher or Year Level Senior Leader about individual student issues or queries.
Visitors to the school are required to sign in at reception on arrival. This is an important process as our school staff and students need to be able to easily identify visitors to the school or indeed, intruders.
